Design
Due to the open and accessible appearance that we wanted to obtain when remodelling the square, a walkthrough fountain type was created, which allows the creation of highly versatile water displays as the area remains free for other alternative uses when the fountain is switched off. In order to create elegance and simplicity two rows of 14 jets were installed, each on the north side of the square, perpendicular to the town hall building, which allowed us to retain an area for terraces on the south side.Installation
The project took three months to complete and included the following stages:
- Civil works
The civil works were completed along with the square paving reforms, which resulted in simpler works.
After removing the square’s paving, a utility box is installed next to the fountain for installation of the water treatment system, with the cement channels being prepared for installation of the hydraulics and electrics.
- Installation of hydraulic and electrical parts.
During the civil works, the installation was programmed between the utility box, channels and electric system to facilitate the second phase of installation.
Once the channels and utility box were prepared, all the parts were then installed such as: pipes, collectors, pumps, water treatment system etc. Once the civil works were complete, certain items such as the electrical control box or the water drainage grids located next to the jets were installed, which all come with individual LED lighting.
- Connection and putting into operation:
After installing all the equipment, the putting into operation tests took place from the electrical control panel.
As with all our projects, this fountain is equipped with our Syncroshow® systems control software, which programs and individually adapts to the systems installed on each project, with its specific operating parameters. This allows comprehensive and global control over the installation using any device with access to the Internet, which enables maintenance works.
Sustainability
We are highly aware of the European sustainability criterion in relation to all of our projects. Our fountains use hard wearing, top-quality materials, such as stainless steel and IP68 materials. Installing these materials ensures more sustainable use of all resources thanks to their extended useful life.
In addition, we design the installation in order for it to be as efficient as possible in relation to energy consumption. To do this we use low-power LED lights and create the installation in order for it to operate with the lowest amount of power possible, without losing performance.
All our projects operate with closed-circuit water thanks to the water treatment system, which allows a reduction of consumption, limiting them to sporadic water provision when necessary.
Functions
The fountains do not have the same amount of people visiting throughout the day, so we offer a variety of programs to operate the fountain itself, which allows it to adapt to the amount of public and circumstances as required.
The following modes were setup for this fountain:
- Static: continuous operating mode, which comes with small variations.
- Water displays: variations in height and jet operation during the day via various program sequences.
- Water and light displays: in which changes of light colour interact with the water displays at night.
- Eco: Basic operation mode for low-level public periods.
